2018 marks Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre's 40th Anniversary: 40 years of saying we listen, we believe, we support.

vents during Book Week Scotland on the theme of 'Storytelling and Survival'.

Taking place on Thursday 22nd November, at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, we are offering an afternoon 'Human Library' with a chance to hear more about the work we do, followed by an evening event on the theme of Storytelling and Survival. Read on below for more details of our events.

Storytelling and Survival: A 'Human Library' with Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre Thursday 22nd November

Scottish Storytelling Centre

We invite you to visit our 'Human Library', an afternoon of workshops run by our skilled and specialist staff, exploring the theme of storytelling and survival: from storytelling and activism, to the role of storytelling in healing from sexual violence and trauma, or our creative therapies work with young survivors of sexual violence. Visitors will also have the chance to make their own campaign postcards and activist messages to take away. Tickets available via Book Week Scotland website.

We invite you to join us for an evening celebration event on the theme of storytelling and survival, held at The Scottish Storytelling Centre. We'll be sharing our ground-breaking publication, A Woman's Story, as well as launching our pamphlet of creative writing from survivors of sexual violence, and announcing our new literary patron. A dynamic, engaging and impactive event not to be missed. Tickets available via the Book Week Scotland website.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre provides support, counselling, information and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, and also campaigns to create change. We were the third Rape Crisis Centre to open in the UK, and supported over 600 people in the last year alone.
